Feeds
One of my latest projects is to redesign the Feeds module. Over the last few weeks, I've spent signifcant time interviewing existing users of Feeds, designing, prototyping, and testing various concepts. These designs represent my latest thinking - which has held up REALLY well in usability testing. Here are a few snippets from the tests...
• All the five participants preferred the redesigned version of the ‘Feeds’ module.
◦ “It does seem like the right direction.” (P1)
◦ "Overall this wizard style of bringing in a feed is a nice shift from what I'm familiar with. Feels more comfortable. Really helps break it down in a more manageable way. The existing config interface can be very overwhelming. This new one makes it easier for novice developers." (P2)
◦ “I like the idea a lot than the current feeds module.” (P3)
• When asked to split 100 points between the prototype and existing module, giving more points to the design they prefer, participants on an average gave a rating of 78 to the prototype. Participants also gave a high rating in terms of effectiveness (4.2/5), efficiency (4/5) and satisfaction (4.3/5) ratings to the prototype.
